I feel this is enhanced by the low video quality to a great extent. The unfocused, unclear visuals combined with the black & white color tone obscure what's actually being recorded to give more of an atmosphere to the thing. Your mind fills in the blanks as to what you think you are actually seeing, and boy am I seeing some crazy things here. 10/10!

I love Immortal. Abbath seems a good fellow too. Nonetheless having experienced struggles with substance abuse for quite a bit in my life I can affirm without reasonable doubt that this man right here is under the influence of some serious "self medication" and made it a difficult listening. Nonetheless I'm counscious that it was recorded à long time ago so I sincerely hope he figure a way to access his own inner peace, free of artificial interference by this point. He deserves it. Whatever happens he have my inconditionnal admiration and support 🤘

He obviously learned a lot with Demonaz, who is or was once the most interesting riff maker in the bm biz! His guitar works in the first 3 albums are totally particular and super hard to play! And thats why Abbath always had difficulty playing the early stuff.

Black metal is probably my least favourite genre in metal. However immortal is a massive exception from it! They are one of my favourite bands of all times! This is because they have walked away from dumb "seriousness", arrogance and hateful ideology of BM, which has allowed them to become decent musicians and create the most amazing metal masterpieces which are widely recognised!
